Default Will this muffler fit?

I was wondering if this muffler will fit under the tc or will i have to angle it?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7987672338

I know its a piece of crap, but maybe it will sound decent for the time being till i go turbo and get soemthing better, but i am getting a cai and dont want to the stock very restrictive exhaust and was looking for something really cheap for the time being.

So all inputs would be greatly appreciated~

thanks

I beg you... please do NOT EVER consider putting anything like this on your tC again.

I won't say another word.

Why? It looks like a fart can, just like the injen ones or any other one, but maybe it will sound decent....>?
Maybe....hahaha.

I was wanting an exhuast but i cant afford the name brand ones, so i was wondering if this will be even close, Please state some factual info cause i know i dont want it, but i wouldnt mind anything at this point cause i hate the stock muffler with a cai.

I want to breathe.

And if not will these work?

i doubt it will sound good. and honetly, it probably will not let your engine brethe all that much more seeing as its just the muffler. Plus a 4" tip is HUGE! a friend just put on a greddy exhaust on a wrx and the 4" on that looks a bit odd. i know this is hard to hear but i would just wait.

Default tc mufflers

If you must put another muffler on this awesome car..... give it the LIBERTY and wait until you can afford something that sounds and looks much better than what you have shown... it'll be worth it!

that actually looks like the HKS high power muffler. I have the HKS and it sounds great, very deep at low rpms and not to loud at high rpms. I love it but then again it is the axle back so i dont kno if just adding a muffler makes a different sound then having the whole axle back. But wut the hell for 8 buck y not just try it

^^^ yea see thats what i was thinking, but i thought i read that many others have tried this ebay muffler thing also..?
But i guess not since they arent posting, but i will be getting custom piping done anyway from a local shop.

What i dont understand and want to know is whats the difference in the muffler, i know about air flow, the different bends, but this muffler is straight piped and if i get the right piping, (although my local shop only does crush bending) so tell me exhaust pros whats the technical aspect of going with a REAL HKS or injen exhaust?

thanks

It's an APEX'i muffler - as far as I know, they're a quality brand. This is if that is in fact a real APEX'i muffler.

Going with a premade axleback and completing it would be no real difference than going an entirely custom exhaust system. Afterall, it's just a bunch of piping.

You paid good money for your car, so do it right and save up for quality parts. No need to buy half-assed stuff like this.

I know its not a apexi n1 muffler and i know its cheap, but how does that affect the sound or performance since the cheap stuff and the name brand stuff are made of the same stuff and same shape..right?

haha good discussion up in here. I dont really want to dump more than 250 on a axleback cause i am going to go turbo so i will be doing a custom piping mandrel bent piping and apexi n1 turbo version muffler.

so help me OUT~

Why bother with that? a coffee can would work just as well. j/k but really please dont get that exhaust. Remeber, if its not a reputable brand name performance part it could be potentially dangerous to your car.

reffering to your first questoin:

any good muffler shop can get that muffler to fit right; but you'd better be specific; ive seen some pretty bad installs.

to back everyone else up, yes, that's not a great branded muffler; and at $40 total cost; you cant expect performance from it.. or great sound.. but at lest it comes w/a silencer...

i had a $40 muffler for a while and w/o a silencer it sux.. though if you plan bigger and better things for your car, save it up rather than spending along the way (that's how i got to finally do air ride....otherwise i woulda had nothing left.)
