Default Wont start when hot

installed a turbo kit for my tc i got from my buddy weeks ago and ive been having problems with hot starting. it refuses to start when its hot, but when its cold it starts just fine. it cranks and but doesnt start and after i let off the ignition it hear a backfire. i let it cool down and i can usually get it to turn over. i was for alittle while running rich but nothing i drove for a long time. could be a fouled plug? any one else experience this problem? incite, ideas, comments? thanks.

Hmm, any more info you can share?

The first thing I'm wondering though is if you have the turbo being water-cooled...

I had the EXACT same issue with my tC after installing the Dezod turbo in my 08' tC back in April 2010.

I'd start the car in the morning to go to work, no issues. Start the car after work to go home, no issues. Stop and get gas along the way, or stop at a store - the car wouldn't start. It'd crank and then backfire. I'd have to try a few times, or let the car sit for 5-10 minutes before trying to start it.

I had it at the tuner multiple times trying to figure out the problem. The problem would go away, and then come right back again. Come to find out, there were resistors in the wiring harness between the crank and cam sensors. Once my tuner removed those, the car started no issues and I haven't had a problem with it since. I can't say 100% that that's the exact fix to the problem, but this is what Scott (my tuner) did to my tC after checking plugs, my exhaust, the whole lot and couldn't find any other reason for the car to not start. Once he removed the resistors, the car worked like it should no issues.

You may be able to give Scott at Ballistic Motorsports a call and tell him the issue and what he did to my tC to solve the problem. He's located in Bow, NH (603) 856-8833

Interesting cuz im having the same problem alittle while after i installed my turbo last month. Its been intermittent so i haven't thought much of it. I wonder if my APR ECU can be tuned to fix this problem.

Did you/Are you experiencing any stalling? When I was having the warm start issues, the car would also stall out on me unexpectedly, like at traffic lights or while down shifting when taking corners.

Since the fix, I haven't had any issues with stalling.
