Thumbs down Yay...Part of the State Ref Club...Boo

WTF.

I am like the LEAST MOdded car ever too...

I coming home from the Gas Station literally 2 miles from my house...And apparently the Cops are doing Modded Car pull overs....

SO first time ever I get Popped....and now get to visit the State Ref.

Luckily I only have an Axle-Back exhaust & intake that need to be corrected!

Some Questions if someone can help answer for me:

Does anyone know How much I should be expecting this Fee to be????

Should I also wait till I get the Bail Amount in the mail to make an appointment??....or Make an appointment right away?

Since I have just an axle-back Exhaust should be ok to still have?

Thanks in advance!

Well, I take it you live in Cali cuz only Cali does stupid crap like that. Now I am not 100% sure how it works but I believe you have to take your ride over to the state ref and they will let you know what is illegal about your ride.

They will run a test on your exhaust to find out if it is illegally loud and they will definitely fail your intake. They will also run an emissions test. Whatever you fail you will have to fix or pay the fine.

I suggest to turn your car completely stock before going to the state ref. That way you don't have to deal with any fines or other crap. And if you get stopped for the same mods a 2nd time, expect your car to be towed.

wait for the amount to show up in the mail first and then call and make an appointment to go to the state ref but remove the intake unless you have a 05-06 model with the AEM carb legal intake which is the only legal intake for the 05-06 tC (07+ aren't carb legal). if i remember you have a tsudo exhaust right, if you have only the axle back with the stock midpipe then you'll be fine and once you get it passed the state ref will print out a copy for you saying that your exhaust passed and is lower than 96.5 db which is the highest an exhaust can be here in cali. Greg if you ever heard my car and know yours isn't as loud as what mine was then you'll be fine because i was able to pass with mine and ever since i've been pulled over and cops let me go as long as i carry the copy with me and show it to them and not be an **** to them about it.

well since i got mine tested and passed under the 96.5 db level all i had to do was make an appointment with a judge and plead guilty and show him the copy of the exhaust from the state ref and was free to go without having to pay like $2xx something for it and also not paying the $25 fee for a fix it ticket.
