lol matt. i think your definition of TON is different than mine.. it was greasy as hell dont get me wrong.. but the whole boots is supposed to be filled with grease which is something i didn't have..

i replaced them with oem axles but the reason for them going bad again, is the slammage.. only cuz the cv joints are at such a high angle, that the boot tears and all the grease just flies out. it sux.

but yeah, turns out my wheel bearings are shot too.. so fml

yeah, make sure it's your cv axles and not that the wheel is unbalanced..

look for torn boots also.

is it possible that tein htechs will stress the cv joints enough to cause a break in the axles.

I've had to replace my drivers side axle twice in the last 2 months

Im guessing its not necessary to replace the bearings that are inside the CV Boot unless they are fried or something right? Cuz after my boot ripped, I just bought a new OEM boot + grease for like 50 dollars at the dealer and did the replacement myself.

and ya its true this must be a common problem for people tucking tire, but as for anyone lowered on springs, i doubt it might be a problem....nowhere near low enough

so i got this huge freakin problem with my driver side axel. i replaced it with a remanufactured axel from autozone and i drove my tc down 2 blocks from my house and it snaped from inside the boot closest to the trany, took it out returned it got another remanufactured axel i drove it for a day and right when i drive off from my house down the street it snaps again. i really dont wanna spend 450 for an axel in the dealer so is there any website that i can just order a good axel that wont snap like the bs autozone gave me or is there something that i also need to replace or check out. this axel situation is a real headach right now lol

i have a feeling ur installing it incorrectly.. plus im not really sure what you mean by snapped.. cuz the boot is just covering up bearings that are not attached to the other side of the axle.. kinda..

but yeah, i bought aftermarket axles for $260 or something (both sides).

Same thing happened to my passenger CV boot. Just found out when I was changing my oil. No clanking noises so far since I have noticed the tear. Planning on going to the dealer to obtain a replacement boot and grease. Hopefully its and easy DIY.
