Sorry i'm new here but my 07 TC has 80K miles on it and the tires are cupping. So i'm guessing the shocks and struts are shot. Can someone recommend replacement shocks and struts for me. Everything is stock height. Thanks

 

got tons of options..a price point would help drastically and what your looking to achieve out of this.

you could asways replace with stock ones
go TRD route
tein makes a couple really nice set up but all different price points

could go full coilover route

At 80k i would guess that nothing is broken. Go get an alignment itll be alot cheaper than new suspension!

 

Some people are most likely selling stock suspension with low mileage.

 

At 80K huh? Do you believe that you need new shocks? How much does the ride comfort mean to you?

I would get a new set at 80K, and if you could get Racelands for $300, then go right ahead.

theres a whole thread on racelands coilovers in here. check it out its a good read of mixed feelings but apparently they seem to be just fine for dropping your car and using it as a daily driver only. I.e. no auto x or track use.

 

I'm on racelands and i push my car pretty hard on the country roads down here, I wouldn't have any problem auto-x'ing on racelands.

Yea thats why i thought too but I already had it aligned two times in the past 6 months and still have the same problem.

 

Try going to a different shop... If youre going through tires like that your camber is probably off. Does it pull left or right? Which part of the tire is bad?

 

I tried two different places to have it alligned. The car doesn't pull at all. The cupping is just on the inside of the tire.

 

^ Camber is off. Should be -.5 to -1 degree in the rear.
