What a surprise, Raceland/Rokkor gets brought into this. Yes, you can buy them and use them, yes they have a longer warranty. Does that mean their better? Its the owners call. I remember when they came out, the adjustment tool for it was a pain in the butt to use and often stripped. Rust is always an issue no matter what you buy, but if something rusts quickly due to cheap materials, well you get what you pay for.

^^ I was one of the very first to buy the Racelands and mine don't have a single drop of rust on them

^Tein SS-Ps for $750 shipped. Send them to tein to be inspected, or rebuilt ($200), and you have a "$1400 set of coilovers" for under $1k. Also I bought my SS-Ps a little over 3 years ago used with "15k miles" on them. Haven't had a problem yet (knock on wood), actually adjusted them down from where the user had them set. Totally reccomend it. Someone who is going for looks is going to slam the car and usually...I said usually go more inexpensive on coils, not spend $1400 to not be able to go as low as others...just my .02

buddy club n+ spec!
super comfy, yet stiff. you can go LOW, if you please.
15 way dampening adjustment, inverted front struts, you dont lose shock travel when you lower the car, they are made in japan, not Taiwan like F2, D2, KSport, megan etc.

Yes I want camber plates in the front.
I was really considering the function&form type 2 but it seems to me many people have issues with how low these go. I don't want to dump my car but I want to run a 18x10 +30 so I want to make sure it will go low enough to tuck some tire.

^ Might be close to your budget but it's worth every penny.

Edit: Here's my thread that I made when I first got them.

If track performance is one of your needs, my vote is used SS-Ps for sure. It's nice to have the adjustable damping and the camber plates in front are great. Engifineer has autocrossed them, and he seems to like them a lot.

Thorium06 here in CO had the KSports and the damping on them was TERRIBLE. My car on Tokico shocks & Hotchkis springs handled better than his car on those coils.

I had ksports too, and they sucked lol

Tein Basics, Function&Form are 2 very good options to consider...Raceland and Rokkor are pretty much the cheapest coilovers on the market and they dont last either.
eyahhh that guy's name was ih8civix or something from what i remember..

The ones that were linked or are you reffering to Buddy Club with BC?

I just installed some Function & Form Type II coilovers. They cost me $900 brand new and are fully adjustable like Tein SS-Ps.

I was really leaning towards the function & form type 2s but I don't think they will go low enough for my taste.

They go pretty low. The fronts you can modify a little bit to go a lot lower but leaving them the way they come you can get them lower than s techs. The rears you can pretty much slam with no modification to the coilovers.

I really don't want to do any modifying to the coils. I heard the BC could go low but I'm not sure how low.

Thanks for the referrals everybody =]. Yes we do have a lot of coilover deals on F2's,BCs and Stance coils.

We personally love selling Tanabe products, but lately their coils haven't been appealing to our customers since I don't believe they include top mounts, correct me if they made a change though.
