where should you put the jackstands in the front and rear? I'm scratching my head a lot trying to figure that out. couldn't be where the scissor jack goes, that's too flimsy a piece of metal...

The jackstands go where the scissor jack goes. MAKE SURE its lined up under the chassis and not under the body panel. But yea, those spots on the side are meant for jack stands and meant for scissor jacks.

Yup - and if anybody reading this doesnt know where the scissor jack goes you can look in your car manual. It tells you how to jack the car up. There are 2 markings on the piece where it goes (which is where you should ideally put the jack). It looks flimsy but isnt. When I jack my car up I use my floor jack and still put a jackstand under and up 2 notches.

ok so I just finished replacing all 4 calipers with drilled/slotted, and I painted the calipers black. only wee problemo is that now the e-brake light is on even when the car isn't... did I beef something? does it just need more fluid? uh oh...

Again, to clarify.. brake light. It is a multipurpose warning light.

Most of the warning lights come on when you turn the key on and should go off when you start the car.

Check these things:

1) Is the ebrake handle pulled?
2) Fluid filled to the proper point?
3) Did you remove the calipers completely to paint? If so, you will need to bleed the brakes. If not, there is no need to bleed the brakes.
