Default Brake Pad Wear Question

Pads are less than a year on the car. Only drive it about 20 miles a day, stop and go traffic. I removed the pads to apply some anti squeal spray to the backs of the pads. Is this a normal wear pattern? I am pretty new to this and don't know for certain.

So pads usually wear at the outer edges first? Might be hard to see in the picture but the outer edges have worn As you can see the middle of the pad is not even touched. Better picture attached. Both ends of the pad look like this.

I don't see how the pads could wear that way either. All 4
front pads are like that.

I believe that's how they come from the factory,I borrowed this image from Amazon.com and as you can see they are beveled on the edges, can't tell ya what's the purpose of it,hope that helps.

those edges are "chamfered edges" they do that for noise reduction as the pad hits the rotor when you're braking. If you ever get a pad that doesn't have that, most likely you've been given a race pad. I know because that happened to me, then in 10k miles i wonder "why are the rotors worn down?" duhh... so I learned the lesson the hard way. but it's a lesson learned.

and your pads look like they have a lot of pad left, could you or did you measure them to see how many mm's they have left?
