Default Brake problem

My girl was driving the tC for a few thousand miles (this thing only has 5k on it) and now to get the E-brake to support the weight of the car you have to rip it all the way up. Also it seems that braking is not as tight as it used to be... I had the wheels off today with a friend of mine doing some other work and the rotors didn't look marred and the pads looked fine from what I could tell...

Any ideas? An adjustment? Or just take it to the dealer since it's under warranty?

I believe there's a tech article for tightening up the e-brake.

e-brake adjustment is VERY simple, just make sure that you do the adjustment from the rear drum and NOT from underneath the handle itself in the car.

Your regular brakes have nothing to do with the ebrake. The ebrake is a separate drum brake behind the discs. So the ebrake wont make your regular brakes worse.

To properly adjust the ebrake (And not put extra tension and strain on the cable), you should actually adjust the ebrake itself. Again, there is a drum brake inside the rotors on the rear. It adjusts just like any other drum brake does. There is a rubber plug in the side of the rotor, which if removed will reveal the adjuster if you rotate the hole to the bottom.
The adjustment on the cable should just be a trim after you adjust it at the brake.
