Default Brake/Rotor Replacement

I'm in the market for some new brakes/rotors. I'm trying to stay in a moderately cheap price range but still get good brakes/rotors. I've never shopped for rotors before so I really don't know whats good/bad. I don't want to pay baller Brembo prices but want something different than stock. I THINK I want to stay away from slotted/drilled/dimpled rotors but if someone can say enough good things about them I might convert to wanting them.

I've had Hawk HP Plus pads when I was tracking the car, but the car doesn't see tracks anymore and only auto-x's once in a blue moon. They were awesome pads but very noisy/dusty/expensive. I've been doing some research but just can't come to any conclusion as to what are some good/less noisy/less dusty/fairly cheap pads. Any feedback is appreciated.

I have looked at the following pads and read very mixed reviews on all:
(I don't have to get any of these, these were just the ones I have already looked at) If you have feedback on another pad please give feedback.

Centric Posi-Quiet (50.00)
Hawk HPS (a little pricier than I want to pay - 83.00)
Gran Sport 6 (53.00 - tirerack)
Axxis Delux Plus (35.00 - r1concepts)

As far as rotors go I've only really read up on Centric Premium

Please help I need very soon!

Why do you want non-stock rotors? There's nothing wrong with the OEMs quite honestly...

If you must though, check out Dezod's selection:
http://www.dezod.com/cat-brake-rotors.cfm

I've had the "StopTech Premium" for the last couple years and have no complaints. If those are too much, check the OE replacements - but at that point you might as well just go with OEM. They really won't make a hell of a lot of difference.

I got the premium ones b/c of the painted hubs/centers to keep the chance of "rusted-solid-onto-the-hub-need-to-beat-with-sledge-hammer-to-remove" to a minimum.

I only had my stock rotors for 30,000 miles and had to get them resurfaced and I was hoping some of the aftermarket ones didn't rust like the stocks.
And as far as price, its about the same price for some aftermarket rotors as it is stock.

The StopTech Cryo-Stop rotors are a good option for blanks too. They come with the hats treated to help prevent the rusting. I've been using them on my tC for a while now and they've seen a few track days and lots of street miles with no problems.

For pads the Posi-Quiets are a good all purpose, inexpensive pads (you can get them cheaper if you look a little bit--I've seen them for $35). Axxis Deluxe are not worth considering...the Ultimates weren't horrible, but I would never have run them on one of my cars. You can't beat the HPS for an all around street performer either, but they can be spendy. StopTech's new pads their "Performance" pads are supposed to be pretty good...similar to the HPS but with better initial bite and about 25% cheaper too.

Thanks "oneday". Really appreciate the positive feedback. So I'm thinking about going the Stoptech route and getting the Performance pads and rotors also. Pads are $62 and rotors are $69 (pair) from Dezod website.

Ftr, don't ever buy rotors from the dealership...I called just to see how much stock ones were and they charge like $130 (each)!! Thats rediculous. I know you can find them online for cheaper, I was just curious as to how much the dealer charged.

We deal in HUGE volumes with StopTech and pass our savings on to you (the customer). So you get high performance parts at a discounted rate. We typically offer same day shipping on all StopTech parts too!

NO way to get a deal on shipping? Debating buying brakes from another dealer who offers free shipping. (They just don't sell the rotors)

Oops saw this a little to late lol. I already had bought them from you guys anyways And they just got installed a couple days ago and so far I like them.
I was curious if you were supposed to bed the Stoptech breaks in like I was told to do with the Hawk HP Plus's.
