Not lower than I what I posted above (that I've seen). But IMO, it would be worth paying the extra $50 or whatever for the H&R. Even if it takes longer to save.

if you're like me springs aren't low enough, coilovers are the way to go, look for some slightly used tein basics or Function and Form Coilovers, good luck, can't wait for pics

I loved my Tokicos when I had them, rode great, but I can't verify for long term reliability, I only had them for 2 months before I bought my coilovers

i would just get some cheap coilovers if your only about adjustability and looks not caring about ride comfort and performance.

if you want comfort and looks you can go the cheaper route with jus lowering springs but if you want the whole package get the higher end coilovers.

PS. you wont really need higher end coilovers if your only DD but if you autox then its useful.

your setup of htechs and tokickos will do just fine for a DD

My suggestion is if you don't plan to adjust your ride height very often then go with a spring and shock combo. As long as you like the drop the springs give you, your all set. In my case I would adjust the height maybe once or twice a year and I would have never put it any lower than what my Hotchkis springs are at right now so it would have been a wast of money. It is nice however to have to option to dial it in just the right way, this way you don't have one end lower than the other etc...

You can get good springs and struts for around 600. If you are going to only spend 600 on coilovers, you are not getting a good, very adjustable set of coilovers, thus not really worth it.

And as ack mentioned, if you are not going to be changing ride height a lot or corner balancing/tuning the suspension, coilovers are just wasted money (and sometimes worse if you dont actually tune them correctly).

If you go coilovers, I would go tein ssp at a minimum.. and that is upwards of $1400. That is most likely what I will be going with down the road for autox. A REALLY good set of coilovers with a lot of adjustment can reach a few thousand or more, but most sets out there on the aftermarket are not to that level.

honestly if youre not gonna track with your car then coilovers are a waist of money. yes the adjustability is a really nice feature, but once u set it to what you like then most likely you wont adjust it anymore. if you want to save money just go with springs
