Default Dealer installed TRD springs!!!!!

Well I called my dealer that is getting in my TC and asked if they were going to realign my car after the springs were put in and the said NO. Thats crap!!!!! I can't believe that you can buy a car with dealer installed options that once picked up NEEDS an alignment. That is what the 500 bucks should cover. Heck the springs are rather cheap if I remember right. Anyone have any similar experiences?

I have already called the dealer, that is how I found out. My dealer went over and talked to the sevice manager and that is what he was told. I now have an Email out to Scion's headquarters and to the dealers website. They WILL give the car an alignment or I will go buy a mazda3 that already out handles a stock TC. Damn they have gotton me hot about this. I will print this out and bring it to them as a last resort.

Thanks Dave

Uhhh... not necessarily. That's likely a special specific to the dealer. The only thing Scion gives for free is the 3 oil changes. Some dealers will do tires for life, oil changes, inspections, etc. It's not a Scion thing to offer the alignments.

Lowering a vehical causes the tires to have a reduced contact patch and therefore are less safe without an alignment. I cannot believe a dealer would allow a car to be driven off the lot out of alignment. Thats crap. If they won't I WILL BE taking my car purchase somewhere else. Let me know if you think I am wrong to think this way.

The dealer I am working with is great but the service manager is a fool. If he had any clue as to how a vehicle worked he would not disagree. I would bet my life he came out of college and got the job instead of starting as a mechanic and earning the job. Sorry I am hot about this. I will chime back when I figure out an answer. Thanks

The TRD drop is pretty mild and doesnt affect the alignment enough for you to be making such a big deal. Be glad theyre only charging 500. People on here have posted dealer quoted prices of up to 900 for a spring install. If youre that unhappy, have them give you the springs and take them an alignment shop and have them do the install and alignment and Ill bet itll still be under 500. The dealer will screw you every way they can get away with.

Get over it? Well I will get over it as soon as you pay the $95.00 to get a properly aligned NEW CAR. It is STILL CRAP and yes I am paying the 95 bucks to get it done. My car is here today and is now getting the mats, springs, and heated seats ordered so I am suppose to get it finished on Monday.

My dealer replied that they are STILL looking into it. Man I guess its the first time they must of ever done an allignment. I am only buying it from them because I am tired/excited about getting it. If I had more patience I would go somewhere else but since I am not this will be the last time I complain here at least. This all has to do with the fact that I am the first person to get the springs installed at this dealer. If I were on a coast I am sure they would of had a person or two of ordered them already.
Oh well, live and learn. I suppose I should of asked earlier so it is at least a little bit my fault. Thanks everyone for chiming in and giving my your opinions.
