Default Don't be cheap...Buy new spring!

So this past weekend i had the bright idea to lower my car. short on funds me and my roomate decided we would just cut my stock springs (because we've done that before on other cars and it usually works fine) usually...it does. not this time. i spent all day cutting springs and trying to index the struts, and all i got after about 11 hours of work was a .25" drop because there wasnt that much coil to safely cut off. i should have known it wasnt going to work as soon as i looked at the spring but i dumb enough to do it anyways. although im sure no one else is as stupid as me to do this, but anyone who is wanting to lower their tc just spend the $150 for decent springs.

thank you that is all,
-MM

tsk tsk tsk..springs should not be cut at all. it was engineered to the stock specs and you take a risk cutting them.

at least he didn't decide to take a torch to the springs, heat it up, to lower it....

but yeah... uhm.. don't be stupid and cheap. do it the right way...

otherwise you'll end up paying more money to fix it than when you could've just done it right in the first place.

i've had a few things dealing with that before.. :? (non-rice related though)
