what your trying to tell me is you want to put jack stands on the lift and jack the car up onto the jack stands then lift it up on the lift right? cause if your saying that i wouldnt want to work around you considering thats not safe. Go to a shop that uses a lift that connects to the frame dont go cheap when working on your car do it right the first time.

haha well ok 82-86.5 mk2 supras have the 5mgte its not a bad little inline 6 but it was old and worn out finally hit the bucket. now the mk3 supras with the 7mgte are so tempermental i managed to blow the #6 piston to shreds racing a vett. it ended up cracking the cylinder wall in three places. made the the piston half its size and cracked it in half to where the rings were the only thing keeping it together. bent 2 valves and shot coolant into the valve covers and into the intake mani and in the exhaust mani along with alot of oil. tried getting it fixed got a replacement motor and it blew a head gasket the first night i got it running anfd had to sell it cause i was moving to tucson from ohio. the other mk3 was in a wreck because someone in tucson didnt have working taillights at night and i rear ended them the guy didnt envolve the cops even though i hit him and would be at fault. it ended up getting totalled. i still have the piston as a souvanier just dont know where i put it LOL.

i say put the sway bar on, it made a world of a difference on my handling. I'm still on stock suspension too but i definately noticed the front gripping more and a lot less body roll.
I have hotchkis sways tho and the front was a real pain to install tho

Someone asked earlier:
some companies just make a rear, cause it's better then stock. The ones that make front and rear need the front to compensate for how much stiffer the rear is. For example, if you put the Hotchkis rear on without the front (which I did for a week) the rear will squat and the front will lift in corners.

Yes, the Hothckis front and rear are DEFFINATELY worth the money/trouble/pain of install. They rock.

I did my front and rear myself. I have had NO prior suspension knowledge. It did seem difficult at the time, and Ithink $175 is perfectly reasonalbe to install it, now that I've done it. But now that I've done it, I know how, and I would not pay anyone else to do it for me.
Yes, I did scare the crap out of myselfe when I was putting the cradle back up because it was off slightly and got hooked on something, and when it slipped, I thought the engine was going to fall on me. This was on jackstands only a foot or so on the ground, lying on my back, with the cradle right in front of my face. I drank heavily afterwards!

how many different sway bars does hothckis make? what is the difference between the red and grey?

when i'm working on a car at work (on a lift) and the engine/tranny slips, it makes your heart stop, even if it is being supported by a engine hook.

My understanding was that hotchkis only had one set of sways, which include both the front and back. They are red.
I've never seen grey Hotchkis sways, but their lowering springs are grey.
