Default Help! Knocking sound when going over bumps!

OK , I remember reading a problem like this, but I cant find the thread anymore...

But yea, here is my problem, every time I go over a bump no matter how small or over speed bumps on the road I hear this knocking sound on my right side fender area. I don't know whats going on, and its really starting to bug the hell out of me...

what could it be? the suspension is still pretty new, my car is dropped on tein basics, only had em for about 1 1/2 months...

Please help. Thanks.

Sounds like a blown strutt to me.
I only had my Hothckis in for 3 days before hitting something that blew a strut. 2 months later, the other one went.

make sure nothing is clunking around under the hood by chance. take 15 minutes of your time during daylight and investigate thoroughly. i'm sure you'll find it

If you guys are riding around in aftermarket springs with stock struts, the struts will not take long to blow. It is always best to change both springs and struts at the same time.

a mild drop like the trd or even hotchkis can be an exception there, it doesn't put THAT much more wear on the stock struts. s-techs or something like that could take a toll on the stock struts much faster

Yea, just had to tighten one of the struts. Luckily my neighbor is a mechanic and he helped me take apart the coils and tightened them. Tightened the left side just in case.

Not only is the knocking noise gone, cornering feels better too!

Tighten your suspension too! Thanks for the responses all.
