Hotchkis Sway Problem
So has the Hotchkis sway bar problem been resolved? Did I hear they released a new version of it now?
I am getting another TC and I am putting TRD Springs and Shocks, and I was going to do these sway bars. Is that a bad idea, or should I be okay?

the last time i contacted Hotchkis (about a month ago) about this issue they stated:
"At this time we are not going to release a new bar. There would have to be a shorter or adjustable endlink."
but we knew that...i think lo_bux_racer is still testing and fine-tuning his custom setup.

Thanks Keith. Hope all goes well with my new TC.
Have any of you driven the TC with the TRD bar vs the Hotchkis bar? I am curious how much of a difference that front bar will make. Going around normal corners at 45mph through the twisties it does fine, but hit something really hard and that front end turns over on itself while the back lays flat.

I am trying to stay as sleeper-ish as possible. Only visible mod is an axle back exaust. I plan to only buy the f/r hotchkis sway bars and keep all else as stock susp setup for the hundreds of potholes in Miami. Bad experience and noises after lowering my 2001 RX300 on 20s. Oh yeah, almost forgot I also will have to paint the bars factory (sleeper) black.
Anybody out there only add the bars and have any problems?

has anyone broken their rear endlinks using a hotchkis bar? When installing the rear bar, the bolts for the endlink only went on about half way>> WTF
??? I bought longer enlinks for the front cuz i head about them breaking, but i cant seem to find any for the rear. The bar is to thick and then endlinks not long enough? where was the R&D on this??

ive seen on here that several people have contacted them about this issue and they basically shrug their shoulders and say that nothing can be done. thats why i bought 03 cammery endlinks for the front. but i didnt see that the rears had the same problem of being too thick. i probably should have realized. anyone know of where to get better endlinks for a rear tc sway bar?
the eibach bars aren't ever coming out-according to a couple of their vendors. they were supposed to be out last may or something ridiculous, but i think they basically just canceled production or something ridiculous like that. i waited for those things for so long and ended up getting the hotchkis bars b/c i couldn't wait any longer.
I have 18x8's 225x40 with TRD Spring, Shock, and Hotchis Sways (set to 2 on both front and rear) and have no problems what so ever. Oh and these bars are REALLY nice... and very stiff. I can hit an incline into a driveway really slow and raise the rear wheel off the ground! Crazzzzy.
the bars are stiff yes, and they do provide a noticable difference, yeah. but for the people who have them installed, the question is this: dont you think its a little odd that the rear endlinks are only held on halfway by the nut? the bar is too thick. say what you want about the way it feels, raises the wheel off the ground, ja ja ja. what about the basic quality of the part and how it was ment to interact with our cars?
Confused! I plan on getting the Hotchkis Sway bars for the front and rear, will there be any suspension problems with oem springs struts? Will there be any suspension problems with the trd springs struts? Thanks for clarifying.
there have been some scraping problems with Hotchkis sway bars, but i don't think it was with TRD springs. what was beind discussed above is why the endlinks for both the front and rear are not long enough for the nut to screw on all the way. I bought 03 camery endlinks for the front and they work just fine, however they wont fit in the rear, when you put your bars on you will notice this, i believe this is why people were breaking their front bars. any way you look at it, these bars BARELY fit tC endlinks
So the 03 endlinks are perfect fits? That's awesome news.
I haven't heard of any problems with the rear bar. They may be able to hold on well enough sitting just halfway on.
I don't know.. this is pretty erroneous compared to what I know of Hotchkis. I've always known them to put tremendous R&D into their products.
A solution might be to install the Hotchkis front bar and a different company rear bar but that's expensive and inefficient and possibly even detrimental to handling (it will be for Hotchkis front and TRD rear.. maybe progress.)
So Camry endlinks don't fit in the rear.. Alas!

Here's another sway bar issue. i know this was discussed by someone else, but i cant find the thread and the search didnt pull up anything. But does anyone know why on slow, tight turns there is a popping sound that comes from the front of the car? are the bushings on the the wrong end. is there not enough greese? also if anyone knows the answer to this question how critical is it go get this fixed?
