Default How Much $$$$ to lower my tC?

I'm getting 18's on my tC and I'm wondering how much its gonna cost me overall to lower my car enough so it looks good with 18's.

depends on what type of drop you want? Im guessing you havent bought springs yet? Call some shops in your area (guessing Houston?) and get some quotes. Check out the suspension section for some pics. I suggest Hotchkis

when I was researching cost stechs were like $135-150 and the camber kit was like about that or a bit more......install cost between 200-400........not sure if the camber kit is needed for sure but I think it is to align properly......htechs did not need it just the alignment........so I guess cost could be between 500 and 700 plus alignment for like 70 more.......if you install your self it will be much less.......jsut need a few friends and a spring compressor and a bit of knowledge.......there is a few DIYs in the tech sectin that are really good.......

Just some advice if your gonna do it yourself, have air drill and/or breaker bar... they will make your install so much easier... too bad i didn't have either when installing mine... took me and my friends like 3 hours on the front and x hours for the rear

ya find someone who's done it before and it will go real fast. took me forever and I spent more money on it than I had to. You don't really need a spring compressor, just a jack and some stands.

You can rent a spring compressor from autozone and you get all your money back when you return it.

you should be good with just an allignment.

Default springs

i never used a camber kit since the drop and it drives and looks good the only thing you would need to do is after it settles is to get an alignment and you should be fine

You don't need a camber kit on s-techs. There's enough factory adjustment to get it within 1 degree of stock.

Wait, these are adjustable, right? Why would you purposefully have it raked like that...so much higher in the back then in the front?

No you wont need a camber kit . The camber is correctable by just an alignment after you let your springs settle for about 3 weeks .

It also depends what size rims you are looking at . if you want rims that are 18x8 then you want to go with H techs or TRD . If you are fine with 18x7.5 then you can go with s techs . an 18x8 wheel will rub like crazy with S Techs .
