well wit da way i drive it feels comfortable wit the tail end feeling like its bein pulled. plus the roads on this island arent dat good. i wudnt mind goin lower if the roads wer flat n no bumps. n yea theyre adjustable. did da pic even show?

Not exactly...it depends on the offset. I had 18x8.5 on and dropped on Hothkis (about the same drop as s.techs) and my rubbing was at the very edge of my wheel well. They were 35 offset. If they were 45 offset (stock offset) I think i would have been fine.

If you look in the "Wheel & Tire" forums you will see there are plenty of guys with as big as 19x8 on s.techs and no rubbing.

does anyone know a thread where it shows how to install trd springs yourself for an 08 tC?

Well, here are instructions for installing hotchkis on an 07:

Should be almost the same, except you don't swap bump stops, and I dont' know what you do with the stock 08 sub.
