Well I got around to putting mine in yesterday since the weather is getting better. I have the newer TYPE II's and the rears slam low. However, it appears some of us have different results in the front. Right now I have 0 finger gap (minor tuck) yet still have about an inch+ left to lower and that's with all perches in and on stockies for now. Took them out for a ride last night and man, for a daily driver, these are 100x better for the streets compared to the JICS. So much smoother, no more breaking my back.

Daily driver / comfort - FF Type II
Track / handling - JIC

Another interesting fact was the rears were a lot harder to put in than the JICs I have but I finally got them mounted. Time to clean up the JICs and then...i dk lol.

F&F have dampening adjustments correct? I was almost thinking of picking some up cause I want something that won't travel as much so I don't rub so much on medium bumps.

nono. if theres gap between wheel and fender it's 4x4

yea, it SUCKS. i need more low, or at least wheels to fill the gap. you think 18x10 +15 will fill?

front can go lower actually, i'm about to test it tomorrow to see how low i can REALLY get them and also going to remove all perches from the rear and lower the spring all teh way to see if the decreased shock travel will lower the rear more.

lol, i know, it makes the inside thing go up and down but what hte hell does that mean. i'm increasing dampening? decreasing? what exactly am i incrreasing or decreasing, am i decreasing resistance? am i increasing resistance? or am i making it softer or harder?

lol. THAT'S what i meant.

I'll sell you my old rear suspension (Ground Control coils). Everything is still assembled so you can just slap them on.

dude, no need to buy new rears, i have a simple fix, but it will require some permanent mods

all you gotta do is cut out the piece in the red box, which will allow you to lower the perch lower and still lock it in place!

like so

this i what i wanted to do with my version 1, type 1 fronts to go lower but the sway bar bracket prevents me from doing this!

seriously, this is your fix!

does that lower the amount of shock travel and make the ride bouncy?
