Default Ingalls Stiffy question...

Probably needs to be in the power section but Im asking because Im worried about suspension and body shake and junk.

for manual owners, that lil rock/bounce/hop your engine does from 1-2-3, when you shift, does the ingalls lessen this?

I dont care about putting the power to the road or anything I just want to eliminate bounce my motor has.

For reference I have a stock motor and dont really plan on making it a powerhouse.

thx

That is preciscely what the stiffy is for.
the Speed Source motor mounts also accomplish the same task.
That's what I have.

I have all the same things mentioned above.

One thing that helped me was getting off the line without wheel hop. The stiffy doesnt eliminate it completely, but gets rid of about 75% of it.

Ive read somewhere on here that it may help aftermarket headers from busting at the welds.

I fixxed the rattling w/ dynamat and i spent about 4 hours one day playing with different settings and adding a very stiff spring on the bottom shaft... pulling down on the stiffy. For some reason the rattling noises went away when i pushed down on the stiffy, thats why i added the spring.

Should I even mention about the benefits of the motor mounts in this thread? Or are you only interested in the stiffy?

How hard would it be to put in new motor mounts?

The fronts were super easy.
20 minutes.
havent' done the rear yet! They dont' LOOK like they would be to difficult, and the speed sorce guys did them in an hour or so on jack stands, but other guys who have them have some horror stories...

dude, u dont even want to know the horror stories with the installation of the motor mounts, omg...yes the front was easy, but the rear? haha. 5 hours for the rear, yes. And we were even doing everything on a car lift, with all the tools u can ask for and three guys...the stiffy on the other hand, is a great product and easy to install.

motor mounts work better, but the car will vibrate a LOT at idle, the stiffy will do the job similarly, but you can take it on and off as you want it when you want a smooth ride.

Actually, my car only vibrates at idle with the air on. with the air off, it's smooth as silk.
This is AFTER turbo and management. I think my revs are lower at idle with the managment. When I was stock motor, idling at 800, yes, very rough. I liked it, but it went away as soon as you gas it.

SP8TC:
have you installed the front sway bar? I was wondering what you would consider harder, the front sway, or the rear mount?
