Installed my Stiffy this weekend and found it to be amazing. I have it installed on 10mm. You can hear the engine a little louder but I'm happy because it does not rattle anything in the interior at all. I did cover the under side of the bracket with Edead. Here are the benefits I experienced.

1) While accelerating at wot, going over bumps was a killer, it felt like the axels could snap. This must of been due to the engine jamming back and forth.

2) Smoother downshifting.

3) Smoother launching and up shifting.

Use the strut bracket as a templete and outline it on the Dynamat using a sharpie..also cut it about .25" smaller than what you drew so when you tighten it down it doesn't come out the sides and look all nasty..

also put pieces between the "ridges" that are on the strut area of the car..

I really don't think there's a way to avoid the rattling if you have it set to 10mm.. The stiffy is completely stiff at that setting and the engine will not move at all when you rev, there's nothing absorbing it like there is on the other softer settings. It's similar to having solid motor mounts, more vibrations through out the entire car.

10-11mm, there is rattling, with dynomat or without it.

12-14mm, if you have dynomat or something similar, it won't rattle.

15mm, even if you don't have dynomat I doubt it would rattle. The piston moves alot in this setting, it's almost like stock.

I would never have to set it to anything under 13mm around town.. Anything under that is ment for the track.
Did you adjust it while it was installed on the car because that is incorrect according to the instruction and may be the cause of the rattles i keep reading about. The preload should be adjusted off the car then the length of the damper should be adjusted so it floats in the brackets on the bolts. Then tighten the bolts down.

Pics and feedback are great. Thanks for all the orders. If you are having problems with rattles double check you install and possibly adjust to a softer setting. 10mm to 12mm is a good race setting. I drive with mine at 12mm with no dynomat its worked great since day one. If you have any binding or pre-load on the stiffy you could be transmitting more vibration into the cabin of the car.

no - the default is 14. The max is 15 (thats the least dampening).

I have mine on default ...just the way it came out of the box. Im wondering what 15 might be like (because of engine noise).

After about 20 runs at the track on the 10mm setting I got a really bad vibration noise coming from the stiffy.. I put it back to 14mm for right now and it's quiet as ever.

I do notice a big difference between the 14mm and the 10mm, with the 10mm there was no wheel hop at all and it felt really tight going into 2nd gear..
On 14mm the car hops going into 2nd gear and really bad from the line..
