Default Installed greddy rear strut, Impressions! + installed PIC!

Just installed the greddy rear strut this afternoon, wasn't as difficult as I thought it'd be.

took maybe 45-50 minutes, entire install in less than an hour.

I disassembled the rear strut bar and installed the hinges first, than held the side panels in place while I measured where the hinged would be placed and cut two small slits and let the prongs slide through.

here's the turn out, IMO much cleaner than I anticipated

so far took it for a quick test drive and it made a very big difference IMO.

the understeer I was getting from the front strut is now gone. I notice this while just accelerating and turning even at slow levels.

the handling is now more precise, when I turn while pressing the gas it doesn't feel like I have to struggle with the wheel to keep it turned, it stays in place in which ever position I decide to have it.

haven't given it a run on the freeway yet, but definately notice that understeer is greatly tamed now and it feels more precise and easier to control, everything moves steady, before either struts the wheel would be loose and move around, its basically locked in place now,.

IMO so far I think its highly recommended to combo the rear strut if you have the front strut. I kind of feels too stiff in steering with just the front one, the rear one really balances it out.

looks pretty good. I don't like doing mods that require cutting so i wouldn't do it but you did a good job.

hey i just got the exact same rear strut bar last week from hopupracing.com

My install looks just like yours (two slits cut out), although I took about 2 hours to install mine (took my time, taking on phone while installing, etc.) it was pretty simple.

the rear definitely feels solid now. I have this combined with the trd rear sway (race setting), trd front strut bar and hotchkis springs.

I'm debating if I should order the megan c-pillar bar. Still not sure.

Good upgrade for the money though.

good to hear the trd compliments the rear greddy well.

When I just had the front strut, it felt like it wasnt balanced or even between the front and rear, when merging on the freeway onramp.

the rear strut actually took away the added understeer and feels much more stable now, its also easier for me to turn the wheel when accelerating through a turn.

definately not placebic.
