Default lowering springs

Thinking about getting a tc and probably wanna lower it with the TRD lowering springs but I was wondering if I lower it, is it possible to ever put the stock springs back in for any reason if I needed to? I would imagine there would be some cost for this, if so, how much?

yes, you can swap the springs back and forth even with any other springs u can the only thing its kind of pain if u do it yourself and paying sum1 will cost mucho dinero so yea but what reason would u want to swap them for?

The only reason I was thinking was winter. I live in an area where we get alot of snow and driving a car thats lowered in the snow probably isnt the best idea I was thinking....

Anyone drive a lowered car in the northeast?

I have it lowered 2.4 in the front on tein stechs. Im in jersey and sometimes the snow is bad.

You will be fine on the TRD. You will have a lower center of gravity so you will handle better in the snow. Unless you plan on going offroading I dont see there being any problem at all...

i do... not that big of an issue... just dont try to go plowing through deep snow. Not that the tC can handle deep snow lol.

FYI this is the wrong forum... should be in the suspension one.

I have the TRDs and love them. The car is a little more then an inch lowered and it looks like the car should have come that way. Dont worry about changing them ...you wont be slammed like some of the guys dropping 2+inches

Well if you get an alignment you need to get the camber links. I never got an alignment and my tires are wearing pretty even. .....which means that it cant be that off. But if you want them perfect you need to get an alignment and the camber links. People who are dropping their cars a few inches w/ other springs should get realigned. My own personal view for you since you are on TRD springs ...dont worry about it.
Also - the settle is minor w/ the TRD springs. The most they go down is maybe .2inch - Ive had my TRD springs on since day1 and have had zero problems. Just make sure ....like any lowering springs .... dont hit huge potholes. You bought into the least drop you can put on the TC so nomatter what you will be riding higher then any other people dropping their car.

yea i noticed lol umm the only thing is the springs did not drop evenly on the front right side i can still stick 3 fingers in the gap and the front left only 2 you can def notice the difference do you think it happened possibly from a bad installation? or should i wait to see if it settles b/c all the others sit fine except for that one

Thats odd - I honestly do not know the answer to that. I would start a post with the topic "uneven lowering spring job" or something and see who responds. You arent going to get a mass amount of people going to a post about lowering springs. ..... post the link here cause i would like to know the answer

Default Uneven Lowered TC

It's possible that you have put the front springs on one side and the back springs on the other side. I'm not sure if the TRD springs are different in drop from the back to the front but I would check it out.

This is from trdsparks.com:

Description:
"TRD Lowering Springs lower the tC approximately 1.25”, front and rear, offering a more aggressive stance and lower center of gravity. This provides added stability in hard cornering and provides a smooth, comfortable ride. Spring rate is increased 18% in the front, and 26% in the rear over stock springs."
