Default Need help with springs/shocks!

I purchased a used TC and the previous owner had the car lowered.
Last week, I purchased a set of Tokico shocks because I wanted to replace the shocks. There is nothing wrong with the current, stock shocks, however since the car is lowered, I figured I would have to replace the stock shocks sooner or later.

Yesterday, I was doing some work on my car and noticed that the springs on my car are the generic Zenn brand. I had looked at them before, but never noticed they were the Zenn springs.

I don't want to have brand new shocks with crap springs. Should I get new springs, or get coilovers, since I have to get new springs anyways?

Since you already bought the tokicos, just grab a set of used springs from the ppc. If you are really going to be tweaking the suspension a lot, then go with coilovers. If not, go grab a used set of springs. Personally love hotchkis and mcgeorgeparts.com is have a sale on new hotchkis springs right now...

Thanks for the info.
$154 shipped for the hotchkis is a pretty sweet deal.
I think that the new springs/shocks combination will be a significant improvement over the Zenn with stock shocks. Plus the car is extremelly low right now, which doesn't provide a very smooth ride. I think I'm close to a 2.5" drop with the Zenn and pretty surprised the shocks haven't blown yet.

Ya, the springs are awesome pita to install on your own though... Everyone's drop with them is a bit different though. I had a drop to the specs hotchkis gives you. Some ppl have even drops and others have the front dropped a bit lower than the rear. Kinda weird, but just how it is. The spring rate on the hotchkis are not that stiff, so they will last a while on the tokicos. That's what I was going to do, but now I'm debating coilovers too...
