I installed mien with my wheels off and the car on jacks as well....

Why/how would the normal consumer install them with a full load of suspension ??? unless we are as skinny as a 5 year old girl. That doesnt make sense Paul.

YOU NEED FULL LOAD ON THE SUSPENSION. Simple as that. You can back the car up onto ramps, which is how did the wife's tC. SO that way I can get my fat ___ under the there.

I guess you need to include instructions with the future sets you send out Paul cuz everyone (including me) screwed up the install

Lucky for me...i'm pretty thin and was able to slide underneath the car (even with TRD springs and the lip kit)!

Load does make a difference... first set didn't last a week (installed wrong i guess...on jackstands) ...this set is holdin strong so far!

Thanks Paul! been abusing the crap outta my car and the new bolts are holding steady!

All endlink replacements. Regardless of version

Hmmm yeaaa i gotta check mine when i go home. Definetly need to include instructions for future reference. I hope that doesnt apply for the front, there is no way someone can get under there with full load.

Thankfully, most of us will be able to correct it before the parts break.

Rest of us, oh well.

This can also be why your fronts keep coming undone.

Toyota's instructions for installing the rear sway bar DO NOT say that the suspension must be under load for end link installation.

http://zoltiz.com/cars/tc/files/tcrsb.pdf

I think this is what most people are following.

In addition, it would be physically impossible to tighten the upper portion of the front endlink after the car's on the ground (ramp), with the wheel installed. That would be some serious fanagling.

So, perhaps Dezod knows something that Toyota Techs dont?

The front spring replacement manual also clearly shows a picture of the tech tightening it WITHOUT the wheel installed.

Regardless of what the manual says, we have tested, proven and tried the tC on a Factory Backed Program. I will see if I can get Dan Gardner, who is the driver and chief of the Scion Racing Program, to post here....

Then the question would shift to why would this "detail" be left out on the service manual?

That would imply that EVERY SCION DEALER installing TOYOTA-BRANDED merchandise that's further covered under WARRANTY is doing it wrong.

Hell, I just climbed under my car to install the stock parts the Dezod way. Do I have to go fix it yet again?
