i would give it a couple weeks for the springs to fully settle before you think about selling them. But what was so bad about them?

Probably because of the name. And I stand corrected, HKS are the softest coilovers for the tC (280 lb/in. Front, 240 lb/in. Rear), and have a softer spring rate than stock (268 lb/in.) in the rear according to their website. :?

let it settle and then get it balanced and see how they ride then. you should've expected it to ride harsher than stock, its a stiffer in springs and dampening. my friend had the B+G coilovers and after raising it a bit, the ride is MUCH smoother. acceptable ride comfort for a coilover

My brother has the Tein basics and he loves them. I just ordered a set for my car as well. I would of gone with the SS-P's if I had the money for it and the EDFC system.

No. Tein's are almost always stiff and harsh. They should consider making the CS version for tCs.

The only comfortable coilover i've ridden or driven in for the tC were the B+G RS2 or something. They had to be adjusted (raised height and soft damper) but after that it was fairly smooth. Not bone jarring over bumps.

Good. Noticeable difference in handling, but designed with a compromise in comfort and handling. I personally want to feel like i'm driving on rails, and in my opinion I think the roughness will enhance the thrill of driving. So i'm getting some Basics when I come into a small fortune (I have many things planned in front of them).

don't forget, H&R also makes a coilover setup for the tC. I'm not sure what the spring rates are compared to the TEINS, but they are definitely an option from a reputable company.

If you get the TRD setup you might as well just get coilovers. Think about it, the TRD setup will most likely run $600 since trdsparks.com is having it on sale for $599. If you just pay about $100 more you can get a decent coilover or you can just spend $300 more for more comfortable coilover. You also have the ability to adjust the height that you want instead of having a set height. I was also thinking about the TRD setup but I thought about the adjustability of the coilovers. I ended up getting the Tein Basics and I am fine with the comfort but I just wish I spent a little more money for H&R or Progress instead, because the Basics are just too harsh for daily driving imo.

just get whatever coilovers you want, and have them custom made for you.

i am going with progress coilovers only because i trust the brand, and i like how they are made and how they look, and just the overall quality.

o am going with 350front, and 550 rear springs rates. that should be pretty comfortable for everyday driving.
