Default Squeeling Brake Pads?

I installed the Axxis Delux Plus brake pads about 2 weeks ago. When they are cool and I lightly step on the brakes, I get s slight squeel. Is this normal for these pads or do I need to look deeper into what is causing it?

I think it's kind of normal... my ultimates squeal a little too. Though you may need to grease the shims. I just forget what part of them you have to grease.

mine used to squeal like no other. now they are ok, it just took them awhile to stop squeaking.

just letting you know that you will have tons of brake dust with axxis. once i go through this set i am going to change to a different brand unless they finally figure out how to make a pad that doesnt dust so much

Mine squeal the hotter they get, but only when I lightly press on the brake pedal. And I'm gonna buy some black RPF1s just because of the dust. I wished Hawk would make some HPS for the rear so I could buy a whole set.

I read that the TRD pads are HORRIBLE. I read that somewhere on this forum.

squeeling is normal for those pads. Greasing the shims wont do anything, its actually pretty useless. Dont worry about the squeel.. if it bothers you too much though you might want to consider switching pads... look into the bendix CQ ceramic pads, i actually have those on my tc right now with brembo rotors. They are super quite and supposed to be real easy on the rotors (p.s. Bendix is the manufactures the Axxis Delux Plus pads)

I have the TRDs and I really don't like them. My next pads will be Hawk HPS pads.

Axxis ultimates on mine and they squeal to high heck. I've gotten used to it though. So much that when I drive my wife's car I'm not as confident with the brakes because I can't hear them working :D

here's a solution. Porterfield R4-S carbon kevlar street pad. No squeal, dust level = stock. High grip.. gee, having them makes me sound like a commercial! lol

What about EBC pads?

Green stuff or Red stuff?

They will squeal to high heaven for the first 1000 miles. I had the green on my Stratus but i'm thinking about going Red on the tC.

Any suggestions?

Green stuff are an awesome way to go. My brother runs them on his 1.8T GLI. High brake dust for sure (b/c their organic), but theyre suuuuper pleasent on the rotors. They should not be squealing though, so im not sure whats up with that. Theyre a bit pricey but i would def go w/ those.

I have already had my EBC greenstuffs on for about 4k miles and they still squeek a ton. not as much as they used to but they still squeel most of the time. does anyone have redstuff on their car?
