my car. First I definently wanan start wiht the motor mounts. Wonderoing iif anyone knows
how many motor mounts we have. I have a frotn strut bar already looking to get the rear
strut bar and sway bars. I want my car to be stiff iin handliign I have springs on already but
I'm thinking of raceland coilovers then again I live in new york amdthe roads aren't great
. Any opinions everyone that would be great

if you want more info on racelands; best bet is to go to the thread about them as there are many many pages about them

If you want better handling get trd springs/struts. I considered raceland coilovers but the thread didn't convince me that they were reliable. Also if you drop it to the ground you will destroy handling to the point where it's unsafe to drive(and your cv joints will eventually fail because they will always be at a weird angle). Also, your wheels will rub on the fender splash guard destroying it(bad if you have a cai) and you will bottom out(on the s-pipe).

As I say skip the strut bar because there will be no difference unless you auto-x. Get the hotchkis sways and install both for a noticeable difference in handling. If you just want the rear go for progress or trd(a thick rear sway with stock front will lead to oversteer issues). But by far the best handling mod you can get is better tires.

Also look at the ingalls stiffy engine torque damper. It does the same thing as motor mounts (motor mounts are better) but it is way easier to install.

Racelands are only good if you want a slammed car. If you are looking into serious performance look into the BC colovers. They come in 7k and 10k rates bu can be custom ordrerd with any rates and custom valvex for only $1,100. They are also a monotube design so they will outperform basically any twin tube out there.

Also loom into the Energy Suspension motor mount inserts. They are a must have and will make a world of difference. Front and rear strut bars are basically useless since. Our suspension points are very close to support beams. If anything do front strut bar but ignore the rear.

Other than that I'd do nice tires and a nice rear sway with some adjustable endlinks. This is basically how I have my car setup, and it's a blast to drive. I ignores most bolt on's since they hardly make a difference in power.

If you want some stiff springs go with H&R race. Couple that with some TRD struts/shocks and ur good to go.

Its a real pain in the butt, you have to get them pressed in i belive to pretty much the best way if you unsure of how to do it is to take to a good performance shop.

I looked into it and I'm defiantly doing at least the front and trans mounts. I'm going to try to get by with a vice. If that fails i'll take the mount to a shop. Idk about the rear. </threadjack>

Ok I can see your a performance guy like myself. 1st thing you need to realize is you can only go so low before you actually start hurting performance/handling. I believe the number is around 1.5 inches. So you need to make sure you have springs that are no lower then 1.5 inches and have a nice stiff spring rate. For strut bars just get any front strut bar cuz there all the same but for the rear strut bar get an Ingalls 4 point rear strut bar brace, the 2 point ones are useless. For sway bars if you want the best get the Hotchkis F/R swaybar setup, or just do like me and grab yourself a TRD rear sway bar. Does the job for me. You can also get a Megan C-Pillar bar seeing as the top of the car is probably most prone to flex so the C-Pillar bar should help considerably. You can also get the Energy Suspension Motor Mounts. It comes with 3 Motor Mount Inserts. One for the rear, front and drivers side. For some reason they dont give you one for the pivotpoint mount on the passengers side, i guess that ones not important. If your serious replace all your bushings by getting the ES Master Bushings set for your Lower Control Arms, Trailing Arms, Rear subframe and more. If you dont like wheel hop Motor Mounts or an ETD is a must, or just do like me and put the ES Motor Mounts and Ingalls ETD on there. Good luck

Sway bars would be great for handling. Have you checked out any of the brands out there that are offering swaybars?

i personally have racelands right now and i love them.

i did not SLAM them i have about 1 finger gap all around and i also have a TRD Rear Sway bar~

them two together give me a great combo as a daily driver~
plus you really can't go wrong with the price of Racelands. as long as you have them installed by a licensed mechanic you got your 2 year warranty. i've had mine for almost a year now and i absolutely love them with no regrets~

I have energy suspen. MM (3 of them), trd strut bar, ingalls rear brace (highly recommend), 25 mm progress rear sway (on stiffest setting), progress coilovers.
My car handles like it's on rails. I love it. Not ruff at all

the mounts are nice but if you don't like a little shake at idle I wouldn't get them. And the back one is a fitch to get to.

The ingalls rear brace is awesome. Easy to install yourself. And noticed right away a huge difference. Just in body roll.

I had the coils and sway installed at the same time. But def could tell the difference.

Progress coils might be out of the question($). But the other items are worth the money
I promise.
Sorry if this info doesn't help.
