suspension springs or coilovers
im wondering what kind of springs i should get guys does any bnody have a picture of a tc with a 2.4 drop in front and 2 inch drop in the rear i need help picking my suspension for my springs anyway and or coilovers please let me know guys asap.....want to spend about 200 bucks on springs.
ok do you have $200 to spend or thats what you want to spend on springs itself? If you want that big of a drop i suggest going with coilovers. Which are way more than $200. That drop sounds like TEIN s-techs to me??
btw- you need a new screen name.

S-TECH springs are garbage, don't get me wrong Tein is a good spring, but the S-Techs where the first springs to become available for the tC, which means the car is offset. They came out with an H-TECH spring that might work a bit better but if your going to go with springs just get the TRD springs, that way your car sits level.
I have Tein Full Coil Over Suspension, SSP with pillowballs. I drive my car extremely hard. If your looking for a lower car and just normal driving get springs.
If you want to be like me and race your car on the weekend, spend 1400 on full coilovers.
Make sure you get the Tein SSP don't get Tein Basic, you will regret it.
Hope this helped.

I guess im curious as to why the Basics coilovers are so disliked?
i had tein basics on another car before... and obviously the stance was perfect, the ride was a little hard, but i could more then live with it. Is it just a matter of the ride quality?

The basic Tein coils are just a waste of money IMO, if your going to spend in upwards of 900 on suspension you might as well get the TEIN SSP so you can get a EDFC later on. It's nice to have especially if you do any kind of autoX and the liking.
It seems like it lasts longer and is made better, especially for about 300 smackers more.
When i had the Teins... i did autox on them, and though they weren't what i would call optimal for autoxing they did perform well. Once i got a little more involved with Autox, after getting brake upgrades, sways. Rims and tires that were solely for autox, i looked into upgrading from Basics to Super Streets... I even called Tein and spoke with engineers and asked what are the differences between the 2 set ups. They told me that the only different is the valving. Other then that the kits are EXACTLY the same.
I ended up selling my Basics for $600 and bought IPP 36-way coilovers which put to shame all other coilovers that i've seen for $850.

the drop diff b/w the Stechs and Htechs are..
Stech: (f) -2.44 / (r) -2.00
Htech: (f) -1.90 / (r) -1.50
and i have heard stechs tend to pop struts more than Htechs do. but then again, ive heard Stechs on cars for quite a few years (i forget the number) with no problems so far.
Yes I have seen pictures of Stechs and i even compared them in life (my friend has them). the Stechs are a really low drop for me. as for off set maybe its just me or the angle i took my pic at but its just a little bit forward, but maybe that just me. lol :D

^ H.Techs.
sorry for the huge pic.
