Tc Big Brake conversion
I was wondering if any other toyota calipers would fit the TC. Because willowwoods are way over-rated IMO and I think it would be sweet to put on some 4 pistons from a celica maybe.... Let me know if any of yall have done this....
Wilwoods are NOT over-rated. They are acctually going to come in way cheaper than most other BBK's. I have the stoptech kit for my car.
Its kinda like this (from my personal research) that the BBK's kinda go like this
1) stoptech/trd and endless at about $2000
2) rotora is about $1500
and
3)wilwoods are $1000
at the end of the day, most BBK's are going to really be the same, but you do also get what you pay for.
How much do you have to put out for a BBK??. The brake setup for the tC is near identical to the newer gen celica, so there is no reason to put celi brakes on your tc.

How often are you tracking? Because if you aren't, the only benefit you're getting of a BBK is slightly reduced acceleration and overall mileage. So just pick which one fits your budget.
Rotational weight is a lot more effective at reducing both those than having additional weight in the car. And the only thing that a BBK does for performance is reduce brake fade, which you shouldn't be experiencing on the street within legal boundaries.
It looks ballin' though, don't get me wrong. I wanted the Wilwood, but never fit it into my budget.

As for BBK, Wilwoods are not over rated, but BBKs for the street are. If you don't have sticky tires and don't intend to track your car, they're for nothing more than show points.
