Exclamation what coils to buy, here r some suggestions.

alright so im very confused about suspension, and it really matters to me. im ready to be lower and im looking to so many things i need to understand about suspension.

1st im looking to lower my car about 1.75 to 2" max. Buying coilovers r to expensive for me now, so im jst looking for springs.

my biggest concern is... Do i really need to buy shocks and struts to be with the new coils, or putting coils with the manufacture shocks and struts will be ok? and if its ok, for how long will it be ok to ride them with.

here are some springs i found on the net that im debating on.

1. progress sport = Front 1.8" Rear 1.8” $163.80

2. Hotchkis Tuning Coil Springs= Front 1.7" Rear 1.97" $209.00

3. TRD Sport Springs= Lowers your TC 1.5" front and back $199.00

You don't need to get better struts with lowering springs, but they will wear your stock struts like crazy. So while you may not do it now, down the road you will want to. How long has too many variables to answer, depending on how much you drive, the roughness of roads around you, and how severe of a drop being key. They could last 1 year, they could last 20. You'll know their bad when you bounce like crazy.

For the price if you want springs, I would grab the progress springs OR look in the for sale area for some cheap used springs. Or you could go with the cheap coilovers like mentioned above.

stock shocks will be just fine with TRD/Eibach springs. I've ridden on TRD spring with stock shocks for 2 years and 0 issues.

TRD/Eibach springs offers nice drop were it's not too low and where you actually benefit from it.

<Was on TRD springs and stock shocks for 2 years and no problems, TRD gives a functional drop. Now on B&G RS2 coilovers and loving it, the wait time sucked though.
