then I'll go back to think what I could do with the limiter, just give me a few weeks, I will def post it here if I do it
Oh no rush man, I know what its like lol. Take your time.

Yeap, I see what you mean. But I still doubt it will help, if you can try it let me know though! Big Grin
Sure thing I would be more than happy to test this out, only one thing stopping me...... got to get the limiter lol .

its not going to help i dont think. you can put the sound stuff between the subframe, but now on the tranny. I hear the tranny when going through gears.

Oh you guys have me all wrong lol .

I hardly doubt the vibrations or noise would bother me, but after reading the 6 or so pages before this one, some of the people were complaining......... (but then again when dont they),,,,, and I know somewhere down the road someone is going to ask this question just like they did with the ETD, or try to find a way to quiet it down lol.

As for me I plan on buying the Limiter soon, as well as the ETD. That way I will see if it as bad as some make it sound.

You know, before I got the Hotchkiss Sway Bars there was a bunch of people saying that it made more noise in the car, and the ride was more uncomfortable. I have not noticed anything like that, and I get a gut feeling this can be applied in this situation also.

On another note, the whole sound deadening thing, yeah that was my curiosity running wild.... eh I guess I can test it out when I get the bar lol.

Ok gentlemen thank you for your comments and have a good day.

myself and Q have ordered this part. after speaking with my tuner he brought up a good point. its not a good idea to fully brace the transmission to the chassis. doing that would put unnecessary stress on the transmission and possible break it. im gonna wait before i install mine to see how Q likes his.

That's why I haven't installed mine yet, I'm taking a wait-and-see approach after my tuner brought up the same issue.

ok so this is kinda dumb, but in case of an accident......wouldnt the limiter cause more damage??

not only would the front beam get hit, but that would push the engine back, and the limiter looks pretty dam stiff!!

I wonder what ZPI would have to say to these two statements? This would be the only thing preventing me from wanting to get the engine limiter.

ill tell you what they had to say because i called and asked kenny. he said that all racecars have their transmissions solid mounted. he said that the more a transmission torques back the more stress is put on the drivetrain and components inside the tranny.. im just quoting so dont flame me for this, i honestly dont know. q has his and he has mine but we havnt installed them yet.
