1) So what do you think will need to be done to run 255 with +30 offset ? is that too wrong of an offset that will need alot of work ?
2) Did you have to do anything to run +48 and 255 ? maybe fender rolling, spacers etc ? Do you have pictures of 5zigens on the car ?

Thank you.

If you run the 255 with a +30 you will have to roll your fenders and run more negative camber. 255 with +48 will work and not rub. You may have to run a 5 mm spacer up front for strut clearance depending on what suspension you have.

^^^ Thanks.

Ok thanks to everyone for the help guys ! I am now not getting those wheels with +30 offset and will most likely run 5zigen GN+ unless i see some other wheels that i like.

Does anyone have any suggestion on as far as what other wheels there are in 17x8.5 with a $300 per wheel budget ?

Other options would be:

Rota Slipstream 17X 8.5 +48
Rota DPT 17X 9 +42

With the 17X9s you will have to run a little bit more negative camber. If you need a little more room with front strut clearance you can run 2 alignment bolts in each strut and adjust them to push the spindle away from the strut.

^^ I like those Rota DPT, pretty good looking rim if you ask me.

AS far as camber settings, do i adjust it at the alignment shop or something aftermarket has to be purchased ?

stock camber adjustments should work.. you can have a shop do it so it would be more precise but you should tell them where you want it otherwise they might adjust it to oem specs for maximum threadlife and you will rub

i was reading some information on autox set ups and someone mentioned that running more then 245 for autox will be hard to do.

now with 5zigen rims and 255 tire KTCTC have you autox'ed your car or just ran at the track ?
The reason why i'm asking is because i think the set up for autox and track is different right ? as autox is much more turns and tight spots.

I have never r autox the car. I just run at the local track. I don't understand why running more than a 245 will be hard to do. The local miata guys run 275s with flares at the autox events. It is completely up to you. The nice thing about the 5zigen and 245s is that I know they will fit without any modifications. 255s you will most likely have to run a 5mm spacer up front.

well i think i would have to run 5mm spacer anyway because of my brakes. I ran 5mm now with EMX super 7s.

Is running spacers bad when running track or autox ?
