Default Best tires under $700

i need new tries to go on my new wheels. I need a 225/35/19 with good treadlife, and good wet/dry performance. It doesnt rain that much here but when it does it POURS. Ive been looking at Nitto NT555 and Yokohoma Parada S-pecs 2's. Any other options I should be looking out for? Please post tires AND model. Thanx.

I thought about the 555s and after looking at them in person they do not look like they are good for water displacement.Wnet withthe Neo Gens instead and they are doing good in the rainy NW.

Still not my favorite choice for a rain tire though.........

Yea I had Neo gens on my old wheels. Never had any complaints but according to Nitto the 555 are better in water. Who really knows though.

From personal experience the 555 are not good for wet weather. However BFG B-Force KDW N/T's are fantastic in rain and dry roads, look good too. And the yoko's have a bad tendincey to "cup" after 8k miles or so. Tirerack.com Has a bunch of reviews on tires you can look up

I have a set of Toyo T1R's and love them. I haven't had any problems with wet weather driving on them up here in Seattle. Not sure about pricing for the size you're looking for...they might be a bit over $700.

What kind of treadlife are you looking for?

Nitto's are good tires, good choice. I have a set of their Terra Grapplers on my Dodge Ram, and they've still got 75% of their tread left with 10,000 miles of burnouts.
