Default BIG Wheels and Tein S-TEC springs

i have "heard" of people being able to put 20's on the TC with the S-TEC's without any rubbing OR cutting.... but i havent seen any pics or proof... I have the S-tecs which is a 2" drop and i am scared they are gonna rub.... I know there is one person on here with coilovers and 20's but not springs..

Have any of you heard of some TC's with some big nasty wheels? or whats the biggest wheel i could go with without cutting or rubbing.. ?????

all info MUCH appreciated!!

i would say 18's and you may not rub, im sure you will with 19-20's depending on the tire size.

May i ask why you want 20's on a small car?

Actually I think Munch from here SL had Konig Uknown 20x7.5 with S-techs but i'm not sure you'll need to check and he didn't rub.

i thought Munch was on 19's with coilovers? Im sure he has rolled fenders also?

IMO 19"+ is way to big for our cars.

ill probably end up with 18's... i just want it to look really nice.. big wheels would stand out but the smaller the tire the more horrible the ride.....

sean with ZPI is runnin 19's with s-techs, just make sure your width and offset work, and get some 30-35 series tires on it

I would never buy 18's. Go for 19's. I'de rather pay a couple hundred more a better looking wheel setup IMO. I'm on S-tech's right now and "had" 19x7.5 et35 Enkei RS7's with Nitto 225/35/19 tires, and it rubbed the front tires every time I hit a dip in the road, Sounded nasty so I Sold the wheels. In my opinion any 19x7.5 with a 215/35/19 should be ok with S-techs, That's what I want to get next. Hope this helps, Laters!

Its not so much the size of the wheel its the offset and over all height of the tire thats on there. If you run a 20x7.5 with a 225-30 and an offset of +40 you will have the same chance of rubbing then if you had 17x7.5 with 235-45 with the same offset. the over all height of both tires is 25.3

not to high jack the thread but some coupes look good on 22's

a 20 will fit this car with s-tech's no problem. You just have to run a really thin sidewall. I eventually want to pick up a set of 19" volk's and rock those at shows. the wheel wells on these cars are big, and my 18's still look small in them.

i run 20's on my trds currently, but i dont recommend going any lower. i think s-techs will push it. i highly recommend coilovers for having rims that big. normal springs are too soft. i never had a rubbing issue with my megan coils and they were slammed in the front, and i have a set of b&g's on the way so i will be reslamming my car soon. the bottom picture has my megans on them, i had them fairly low. i ran it about a half inch lower, so that the tire was in the wheel well but i decided to raise it up a little, too much attention from the local law.
