Custom Wheel WIP
So I finally have some money to spend on my car and I want to get to it. First I want to focus on a little bit of appearance and then go after an intake and an exhaust, slight possibility of a turbo setup down the line however I don't feel it's a good investment on a FWD (I'd rather buy a RWD down the road and turbo that).
I haven't really found any rims I like excessively, none I would consider spending lots of money on. I've only seen one pair I really wanted and I have no idea what they're called or where to buy. I saw them on an RX-8 and they kind of looked like this:

The only difference was that it only had 5 spokes that were black spokes with red arms that came out then went back 30 degrees halfway in. The best way I can describe them is like the Scrambler amusement park ride.

REGARDLESS,
Most people go for a full solid color or a color with a concentric circle lip around the outer edge of the rim with a matching circle on the hub however I want the spokes to cut into the outer lip. This is kind of hard to grasp so I fired up paint and did my best (no photoshop installed atm).

Horrible 30 second paint work:

What do you guys think? I think it looks pretty damn good. The green lip with black spokes looks horrible I admit but I've seen something similar in real life and it looked _____ing, so it might just be my paintwork. Might meaning is.
Finally, I'm thinking about going to a paint shop because I'm pretty sure that you can't achieve masking two-tone paint jobs using powder coating, not very cheaply anyway...if I do go the paint shop route...should I expect the paint to be constantly coming off and looking horrid? If not how much does it generally run to do a two-tone powdercoat?

Do you want rims or do you want to just paint your stock ones? Please don't buy those rims you posted they are horrible looking! The blue drawing you have looks okay, but it is hard to pull of bright colors especially on a dark car.
I'm looking to paint mine, if I find the rims I saw on the mazda I'd buy them in a heartbeat. The picture was just a reference, I agree that the rims are horrible.
**EDIT** I guess in addition to anyone knowing about those rims, I'm trying to decide on a trim color. The green in the picture is much too pale/dark. It needs to be brightened up.
