i know i have some lol, i think they cup the wheel secure on the hub, if some wheels dont have them and the require them, they me like wobble or something with out em

so i say get em lol

aftermarket wheels usually have larger hubs than stock.

say the stock hub is about 56.1mm, and the aftermarket wheels has a hub of 70.2, a hubcentric ring, which is a little plastic, uh duh, ring will fit into the 15 or so mm of space that you have so that your wheels will be hugging the hub.

without them, the wheels will cause vibrations at high speeds.
