Default I am so mad! grrrrrr

About a month ago i got some 17" DZ wheels (15 spoke silver and black in the creases) Well i have a TRD drop and after putting them on i decided to go with 18's... "i think i should have thought it through a little more but..."
So now i have the 18" Speedy Lite fins (gunmetal) 225/40's
The place that i had them put on said that my hub rings didnt fit... But that it wouldnt need them! Whenever i get to about 65 mph it feels like my car is about to fall apart with all the vibrating. Mr. Tire said that they can rebalance them again but i might need hub rings. But you jus told me 2 days ago that i wouldnt need them!!!
What besides hub rings could make it vibrate soooooo much???? (i already had them balanced) and i was considering doing the road force or w/e but i don't wanna pay that much if i dont have to. ya kno

Since they're aftermarket rims, you definitely need hub centric rings.
85% sure it's the rings. The other 15% is leaning towards the re-balance.

i werk at discount tire. the road forceing is a waste of money. people who buy that crap are just really picky _______s...but im sure its the rings, shouldnt need a rebalance after that. technically you dont need any rings but if you do any kind harsh turning and actually "drive" your car you'll want them cuz you could snap studs from tehe weight not being on teh hub/

Dude, I had the exact same problem that he is having..i put on new 18" wheels..without hubrings...then then I had vibrations so they re-balanced..and I bought hubrings...then I STILL had bad vibrations (express way speeds 55MPH was bad). So I ended up taking my wheels off and going back to stockies. I realized when I did that ..that the stockies weighted a whole ton less than the new 18's with tires...going back to stockies..unfortunately DID NOT FIX the problem..though it was a lot less violent of a shake. I took it to the dealer, they said they supposedly didn't feel anything wrong (I dont htink they took it on the expressway at all..and didn't have the patience to go back agan)..they said that since I complained DURING my warranty..that I could come back after it expires and it would be covered still because I noticed the problem before. So...then I put my winter tires on..and the feeling got all numb..and I'm putting my stockies back on with brand new tires (sumitomo HTR Z III's) on Sunday morning..if the vibration is back, then I'm booking an apppointment at a dealer Monday morning... to figure out what the heck happened. (Im going to try avoid telling them the 18's ever existed..see what happens).

At this point, my sexy 18's are gone, never to be heard from again..I just want a vibration free car and am scared that they f'd something up.

This is flippin impossible!
There is no way that 18's are the reason for so much vibration...
People wouldnt get aftermarket wheels if that happens (ya know) I am hoping that when my hub rings come in tommorow that i will put them on and be vibration free!
I was thinking about doing the hub rings and a road force balance at the same time. Just to make sure that everything is squared away. Cover all avenues b4 i even attempt to toss my 1300 dollar rims for a pat on the back and a tootsie pop.
I mean the TRD drop looks pretty sick with the 18's and not to mention if i went back to 17's i would prolly have to change springs as well.
So it doesnt look like i can fit 2 homeless people in my wheelwell!

I have the TRD Springs and aftermarket 18" wheels. (2 sets even) with zero problems whatsoever.
It's either the rings or the techs not being able to put on a tire onto the rim properly or don't know how to balance right. GL.
