I need tire advice, I'm so confused.
So I have to replace the tires on my 08 tC rather soon. I am on a bit of a budget so ultra expensive is out of the question. I would like to know what you all think of these two options.
Option 1:

Option 2:

I am thinking its going to be option 1 but would like your opinions.
Thanks!

Kumhos FTW. I've had a set for over a year now with ZERO issues. Very good (not great) all-season
tires for the $$$. Traction is very nice in wet conditions. Waaaayyy better than OEM tires. GL.

If you have a Firestone in your area, they do have $100 off on the Bridgestone Potenza G019 tires. I walked out the door for a set installed w/road hazard and lifetime rotation 450 after tax and after instant discount. But it could be a regional thing. So pretty much I ended up spending $74 per tire. They're great tires; they're quite, response in steering increases over stock, ride comfort is pretty good over the Yokohama and Falken that I've compared them too. Great dry and wet grip as well.
I would suggest option 2 and get tires that are 10mm wider than stock. 225 fit on the stock rims nicely and they fill out the wheel well a little better. Not to mention, you will have a little more traction due to the larger contact patch. Like for example, take a look at this link:

Pretty much, they're the only High performance tires that comes with a 50k warranty or with a warranty. I'll post a link on them. I only have about 200 miles on the tire but so far, the tc feels a like it has more control than the original crappy bridgestone that came factory.

I really don't like Kumho much because they don't have excellent wet grip, same with Hankook performance tires. Here's a comparison from tirerack.

kumhos wet traction is excellent so idk what is your problem....
but i never tried kumho AST which is all season and it has worst wet and dry traction than the spt what i have but still both has excellent wet and dry traction.
i used to have falkens (452 and 512s)
both was really good but i couldnt tell the difference between them and the spt... oh the only difference that both falken was bald after 15k miles...... so no falkens for me.
falkens threadwear is 360.. spt threadwear is 320...........
i got the spt for 15k miles already and i still have around 40% left

Well the Admiral is just the rehashed up Khumo 712s from like 8 or 9 years ago. There were good back then but it's a dated, very dated tire. And the ASX is weak sauce too, you won't be happy with them. If you have an Ebay account you might try picking up a set of the Falken Ziex ZE-512, those were my last tires on my Civic before is was stolen and I was very happy with them as I threw them into corners with great force.

Falken ZE-512
Discount has an Ebay site that is selling them (4) for only $334 and that's with FREE shipping too!!!! You save about $20 per tire over buying them in store. However DT is real friendly and wants to keep their customers happy so you might be able to get them in store for the same price if you say you were going to order them online and bring them in to them once you get them. They may just go ahead and price match their own Ebay site price for you, if not you still can get them online cheaper and have them mounted anywhere you'd like.

It's a real sweet deal if you ask me!!! And yes Falken makes a damn good tire too!!!!
