Well it looks liek ima going with the rpf1's. What would you guys say to gettign the rpf1's in black?

SBC FTW! def get that finish! silver/black/gold on those wheels is boring get the SBC!

 

the SBC looks like chrome. Im not a chrome guy. Plus i have seen chrome rims on an AP and it looks terrible. But anyways im gonna do some CF exterior mods so chrome wont go with my theme. Black woulf cause of the CF and silver would as well cause that goes with everything.

 

its not chrome per-say its more of a black chrome (has a deeper look then chrome) think of it as a reallly shiney hyper black finish. looks 10x better in person

I have a feeling the SBC RPF1's won't look that good on AP. Honestly, as much as I hate black wheels, I think a set of black RPF1's would look awesome on AP.

The GTC-01's are nice, but just don't look at that great on tC's. They look pretty good on other cars though.

 

Roja thanks for the pics. The rp03's look alright on that tc. I just dont like them. But the gtc01's your right about. Nice wheels but not on a tC. The black would look good on the AP. I have seen a few AP's ont he forum with black w/ polished lip and they look good. I think the full black would look great too. We will see when the time comes to get them what color i get. But im goin wiht the rpf1's. Im just doing my research now an dfi nding what you guys think because i deploy in a few days and cant really get on the forum much at see plus the net is slow as a 3towed sloth out there.

Hey what would be the best tire to run with the 8" wide wheel. I was thinking of getting 225 is that good or should i up to 235 and here are the tires i was gonna get any opinions on these would be appreciated as well. I know they scored very high in there category from tirerack.com's testing.

i like the 5zigens. they were like my fourth choice when i was wheel shopping a few months back

 

those gtc01's arent light at all .... 17 x 7.5 = 18.3 lbs ... their like 3 lbs heavier per wheel than the rpf1's 4 wheels = 12 lbs heavier ... thats a lot of unsprung weight

 

12 lbs on the wheel isn't a whole lot man. tire selection can make a bigger difference than that.

 

Fine, shoot down my SBC idea haha. But yea, I didn't see that you were AP. I agree with you, a black would probably looks best. Are you looking at the flat black that edgeracing carries?

 

I would get the kumho mx tire .... I believe they are lightweight ... Its weird though on the Kumho website it gives the weights of the tires

235/45/17 's .... weigh 20 lbs ( but on tirerack.com it says 24 lbs)

225/45/17 's ... weigh 22.4 lbs ( but on tirerack.com it says 23 lbs)

how could 235's weigh less than 225s ... and I wonder if tireracks weights are correct .. I would tend to think the main Kumho website should have the most accurate info .. but who knows

 

tirerack would be more correct than kumho. tirerack does a ton of research and reviews. they actually put the tires on scales. plus kumho is just trying to sell tires.
