paint or powdercoat stock rims??
Well the title explains it all. I'm thinking about changing the stock rim color. Don't wanna buy new ones cuz the stock ones have the pressure monitor thingy and I like that.
So which one is better?? Paint or powdercoat??
Any suggestions for colors on a nautica blue?? I was thinking white but they got dirty very quick, I wonder if gunmetal would look good?[/b]

i really like a bright silver on the dark blue cars (thats why my wheels are silver!) white wouldn't be bad either.
powdercoat for sure. way more durable against chipping and such

thinking I'm headed the same route, Most likely paint, (as paint comes off, powercoat doesn't, and i'm not 100% set on a color yet), but a Dark gunmetal grey, or a dark bronze is where i am heading. also on a NB
thanks for the input guyz, well money is always an issue but I learned that it's better to save up and do it right......so I'm gonna research how much powdercoating would cost
powdercoat +1
2007 tCs have sensors mounted on the valve stems inside the wheels (except spare), earlier model year tCs do NOT have sensors mounted on the valve stems inside the wheels, they use the ABS wheel rotation rate sensors.
the stem sensors can be moved to a new set of wheels.

ugh. if u EVERRRRRRRRR plan to get a set of aftermarket rims...then dont even bother powder coating ur stock wheels.
Ive been quoted by 3 different places for about 125-105 a wheel. for all that money ill just get myself some aftermarket wheels....
