first on the list has S-Techs which are much much lower and have no rub.

I'de suggest 17x7.5 +40 offset with 225/40-18 tires for better performance over stock.

To nebster:
You mean offset 48 is not good for new wheel, and I'd better find wheel with offset between 35~45. may i know any problem if the offset over 45?

To Air:
I checked this topic b4, but I can't find any list is with offset 48 or with profile 50. coz I am a llitle tire of hitting roadpole or bump with my 18" wheel in NY, and the road makes my wheel bent so that I am trying to find more comfotable tire and new wheel. I know higher profile will help but also it makes appearence ugly. I am so struggling between apperance and comfort.

allen,

a 48 offset with a 7 inch width will sit in further than the stock wheels and if you look at the stock wheels they sit in so far as it is. for looks i recommend looking at a 7.5 / 8 width (for performance) with a 35-40 offset (to sit out more than the stock wheel)

hope that explains more

Oh ok so you're not aiming towards performance, but more for comfort. In that case it's fine to have 17x7 but like nebster said, +48 will put the wheels farther into the wheel wells, so look for something in the 35-45 offset range.

There are a bunch of tires you can get with specs 225/50-17 to go with 17x7 wheels.

**In your original post I see a 4 and a smiley face for your offset, so I was under the assumption you said +40

Thank you guys. Right now I have more concepts about my next target. Since I heard car factory said my Enkei Zr1 wheels are bent, I feel so damn bad. it took me around $800 but last only two years. So I decide to switch back to 17" , coz 18" it's easy to get bent in NY due to low profile of tire and bad condition of road although it looks so good. But I think for comfort and durability of wheel, I would go with 17".
How do you guys feel 225/50/17 is ok with TRD lower spring without any rubbing or not? and do you have any suggestion of wheel is under $1000 for one set?

Don't worry about rubbing issues with a 17x7 wheel setup on TRD springs. There is only one way you can get rubbing, and that's by getting monster truck tires.

There's a bunch of sites that have wheels under $1,000

edgeracing.com
discounttire.com

even sponsored sales.
