Default quick question (already searched)

Can i fit a 18x8 wheel with a 45mm offset on my TC and not have any issues like rubbing or having it stick out past the fenders?

Thanks in advance

Yes but depending on tire size and if you plan on altering the suspension in any way?

You need to stick to a drop of around 2" and a tire of 225/40/18 as max size. I would also recomend going 35mm but 45mm will allow you to run spacers if you want

18x8 +45 offset is fine if you run 225 tires. +35 offset will rub imo

when i do suspension work, ill most likely go the TRD route or possibly coilovers depending on my money situation at the time. Im assuming TRD is not very aggressive with their drops

i wish the wheels i wanted came in a 35mm offset but they dont

+35mm will not rub. you may have to run a spacer with +45mm as it pushes all of the extra inch of width towards the springs. optimal is +40-35mm for an 8" wide rim.

O RLY?

I've got 18x8's +32mm and even with rolled fenders, I still rub with 225's on an auto-x course. (FYI the rear fender yielded 8mm, I measured, so even a +40 will rub stock)

well first i never said +32mm would work. and second if your rubbing in the rear with +40mm then your ride height is waay too low and your handling is probably worse than stock as a result. i run 18x8's with a +37mm offset and 225 rubber and im not even in the ball park of rubbing. i have run this setup in auto-x and on a few road courses so i have definatly put the suspension under alot of load.
