Default Show or Go?

Hey I have an 06 FM tC and im looking to get some new wheels. I have axis Decade 18x8s on there now, and I either want to go big, maybe 19's or 18's with a fat design, or something really lightweight, maybe grame lights or something along that line. I have a stage 0 turbo kit as well as a bunch of other performance stuff. What do you guys think? I don't plan on going to the track, and its my daily driver. I do go to some shows, which is kinda pushing me towards something big. maybe some work euroline DZ's or something. Thanks for the help!

Well I don't know your budget but Buddy Club and Volk both have some lightweight deep dish racing rims... so you don't necessarily have to sacrifice performance for style.

Keep it to 17's... especially if you're turbo... Performance over show in my book.

Remember that buying larger rims will decrease your speed as a result of the increase in rotational mass, as far as understand it (I am open to correction). So I say go with 17 or 18's max.

You're both right and not right at the same time. If you get a wheel that's lighter than stock then you'll still be decreasing rotational mass even if you get a 19" wheel or anything larger than stock. However, what you will be dealing with is angular velocity.

Angular velocity (spinning around in a circle like a wheel) has an inverse relationship with radius. So even if you have less weight overall, if you have more weight further from the center, your velocity will be less.

Thanks for the info, I think I might try to find a medium of the two...17's just doesn't fit in with the "image" im looking for, but i would like something a little more performance minded than heavy 19's, so im thinking maybe some 18" work emotion CR Kai's or I like the XD9's too
