I'm in the market for a new performance summer tire in 245-40-18. They will be mounted on a 18X8.5 (offset is something like 35 i think).

I think right now I'm looking at Hankook Ventus V12. I've read a few positive reviews and I can get them shipped for $600.

I am basically looking for something that will provide better than average traction for spirited driving without breaking the bank. These seemed to fit the bill.

Any body run them or have another tire they can suggest.

I'm currently looking at the rs3s myself. For autocross though. they just got back in stock.

They have a pretty high wear rating along with a 60,000 mile warranty. These are relatively new to the market so not a lot of people have reviewed them yet so I'm not sure how you feel about that. These will probably be my next set of tires.

 

I've read through that thread already. I only saw one review on this tire. So I wanted to see if anyone else had input on it.
