/Topic after repainting my wheels a few people want me to paint theirs now.

 

I really want to do that to my car but I don't have the patience to do it and I really doubt I could do a good job at it haha.

 

I like my wheels white so bad... Time to get them powder coated that color.

Good job Gamma. I just painted mine the same color this weekend. It came out all cloudy like some parts of yours because of the duplicolor wheel clear coat. I was so disappointed i started all over. They came out great without the clear

 

it is the flashlight that made it look cloudy, i will post more pictures on my car later.

 

Oh okay. My mistake then. Mine did come out cloudy. Maybe its the clear or maybe i just suck at applying the clear.

 

what did you use to fix your curb rash? and what grit did you sand with? I used jb weld, and then some 400 and it came out looking kinda bad. yours looks pretty good.

I used Bondo spot putty.


I applied the putty with a razor blade. It dries very fast. I only squeeze out very little at a time.

 

then you sanded with 400?

 

yes, i wrap the sandpaper around a small piece of wood. It makes it surface even.

 

I have painted 2 sets of wheels with the graphite paint and clear. My advise so they aren't rough or hazy is to paint the wheel sitting up instead of laying flat. For some reason when I painted mine laying flat the paint was super grainy and dusty. And the haze is probably a build up of the clear coat. Mine hazed on a couple spots where the lug holes are but dried clear. Just my cents

 

Hm interesting. Ill have to try that. As for now i stopped using clear all together
