Saw this sitting in the garage today. After I finished crying I snapped a picture.

I don't know what's worse. The white "accents" or the swirl marks...

Holy Geebus!

I got another set of stockers to paint. Currently I have graphite colored stockers on the tC, and they have major curb rash, with gouges and dents on two. Taking the best of the 8 wheels and stripping them bare. Takes longer..but the previous owner caked on gloss black paint without prep work...so I need a good base on which to prime, base, and clear.

What clear did you use on those, looks like it came out pretty good? Sanding or just primer?

Wanted to get away from the all black look like the other tc has. Nothing a good sand, prime and spray can't do for you. Needing some coils asap :D

Yea, I sanded and then applied primer. The paint came out pretty good, HOWEVER I used Dupli-Color Clear Coat and the clear has a yellowish tint after it dries. Gonna redo the clear coat at my buddy's body shop with a real paint gun and REAL clear coating lol

Pretty much tape both sides of the rim - the outside (so that you don't spray the tire) and the inside (so that you don't spray the black already on it) - I used a sort of plastic wrapping to wrap the black so that I wouldn't get red on the black rim. If done correctly, all that should be visible to paint is the outer lip. Just make sure you precisely tape all around the edge so that you don't have red spray marks all over the tire. It should come out the way I have it. There should be some tutorials around here on how to do it as I'm not the first nor last person to have done them like this.
