what kind of paint should I use for painting the rim?

 

has anyone painted or seen the stock rims in a gun metal color?

 

ive seen the emxs painted gun metal....

 

I just bought the duplicolor "graphite" color wheel paint. Should be here monday so I'll try to get my stockers painted that following weekend...it's pretty much gun metal, and I'm hoping it goes well with my flint mica tc...

yeah...the color looks good, but the scion emblem gave it away...
I'm still trying to decide whether I should paint my center caps or leave them silver...the lugnuts will still be silver...

how do you guys get the lip painted on the stock rims? I just took a closer look at my stocks and dont see a clear lip line...(and man...my passenger side rims are so jacked up from curbs...)

do you just estimate using ur eyes and hands a smooth line using tab to do the lip?

 

ppl use tape / index cards / newspaper

 

But I'm talking about just the lip...can you really use tap to form a circle around the lip? tap seems kinda straight...and not curvy =/ The rims dont have a uniformed line around the lip, its bigger on some parts and smaller on others.

 

just take your time and tape it off.
