Default Tires..

I'm in need of new tires and come to the board for help.

Car: 2006 Scion Tc-No Mods, daily driver, put about 17-18k miles a year on car. Live in Northeast so need a tire good in wet conditions/light snow.

Tires I'm looking at:
Kumho Ecsta
Yokohama S drive
Cooper Zeon ZPT
BF Goodrich G-force Super sport a/s
(keep in mind, I pulled these four tires out of the other posts, reviews I read on this forum)

I want a quiet tire, that is good in the rain, emphasis on quiet.

I'm not really worried about cost, and would rather pay for a quality tire versus compromising quietness.

Thanks for all your help, and please if I missed a great all around tire, please let me know.

Chris

Those were my 2 exact choices. I ended up getting the Kumho's because the General's were not readily available and would have cost a bit more. I got mine @ Discount tire $497 out the door just last week.

The Cooper and Kumho's are terrible in the rain. If you're looking for something for rain/snow/quiet, you're looking at the completely wrong tires.

Your best bet is to just own two sets of wheels, summer/winter. No all-season/performance tire will perform in snow conditions like a true winter tire.
