Default Types of Wheel Spacers

There are a lot of threads covering wheel spacers, but I was wondering the types that you guys would prefer.
Here are two examples:
First:
Name: WHSP15ST5.jpg
Views: 61
Size: 33.1 KB
This one, of course, will need some work because everything will have to come off and this will need to be placed behind the stock

Second:
Name: Spacers_5lug_A.jpg
Views: 44
Size: 15.8 KB
These are a direct bolt on and will need to use the nuts to tighten it. (much easier than the first one)

Which one is preferred?
Also, having 18x8 +40 for all, which spacers will i need to make it flushed (I checked the wheel size thread on SL, but it's outdated)

v2 is much easier to install. but you have to make sure that there is deep enough holes in the backside of the wheel to house the excess studs depending on what size you go with.

i'm actually trying to go w/ 15mm F and 25mm R
Wheel specs are 18x8 +40
that good enough to make it flush?

should be okay wont be crazy flush but it'll look good but remember if you go v2 you have to have holes or "dents" inbetween the bolts holes on the back of your wheels.

I've been using the 25mm and 20mm V2's for a few years now and so far (knocks on wood) everythings worked great. I used 25mm on the front and 20mm on the rear on the oem 17' wheels and loved how flush it looked. However the 20mm spacer wouldn't work on my Rpf1's because the nuts that hold the spacer in wouldn't sit flush against the Rpf1, the 25mm' worked fine though.

Here is how the old setup looked

The fronts don't look as flush only because they are at a -2.5 camber while the rears are only at a ~-1

ah~ i know what you mean. so those bolts that hold the spacers will need to sit flush behind the aftermarket/stock wheels. Let's see how that goes
